Hugo Duro: “I think the team had a good performance, but we have to keep working”
Hugo Duro talked through the friendly game against Nottingham Forest FC after the fourth preseason game. The striker highlighted the physical demand of the clash and the team’s evolution ahead of the start of LaLiga
Physical game
"It was a physical game. We knocked the ball around well, above all in the first half. We struggled a little bit more in the second, they were pushing and we were in front. I think it was a good test to see where we are at in terms of fitness levels. I think the team had a good performance, but we have to keep working.”
Match fitness
“These are preseason games and we have to build up our fitness levels. We are coming off the back of a tough few weeks.
The team are getting their match fitness ahead of the start of LaLiga and picking up the pace as the opportunities come by, the team are fresher and the most important thing is to come into the game against Girona as well-drilled as possible”.
Adapting process
The new head coach, new ideas. The team have to adapt to what the head coach is asking from us. The team are reacting well and taking in the concepts. We have to keep working. We have to weeks left to work on what the head coach is demanding from us and I think the team are doing well”.
